How To Find Me
Feud Nails is a home based salon in Rhiwbina
My full address will be given to you once you book.
There is plenty of street parking available, although Sundays are busier, due to being close to a church.
I have 2 cats that live in the house but they will not be in the room during your appointment.
New To Nails Or New To Me
Manicures take time
Please note the time frames on Fresha.
Your appointment may be longer of shorter, but the times on Fresha will give you an idea of how long it is likely to take.
Gel or BIAB?
Both products are painted on to your natural nail and are cured in a UV and LED lamp.
You will not leave the salon with wet nails.
Both products can incorporate different colours and designs.
BIAB stands for 'builder in a bottle'.
It is a stronger product so can help to protect your nails and will last longer than a gel manicure.
Because of this, it takes longer to remove than gel.
BIAB can be infilled, where the colour/design is filed off and more products is applied, to cover your new nail growth.
If your BIAB has lifting/chipping it may not be suitable for infilling and may need a full removal.
- A gel manicure typically lasts for up to 2 weeks
- A BIAB manicure typically lasts for up to 4 weeks
Please read the information on aftercare advise to understand what can help a manicure last longer or damage more quickly.
Both products may last longer, or for less time, on different clients.
Nail health, length and aftercare can impact longevity of a manicure.
Aftercare Advice
Your nails are jewels, not tools
Do your best to avoid the following:
- Using your nails to pick or open things
- Soaking your nails in water for long periods of time (baths/swimming/washing up)
- Using chemicals without protective gloves (cleaning etc)
I will never judge you for doing any of the above but,
it's important that you realise they can reduce how long your gel/BIAB can last.
Oiling your cuticles will help keep your nails healthy and your manicure looking great
- It prevents your nails from drying out and separating from the Gel/BIAB
- It's also a lovely way to give yourself a teeny weeny bit of self care
I recommend that you oil your cuticles a minimum of twice a day.
I know how tempting it can be but please do your absolute best to NOT pick off any of your manicure
- Picking will damage your nails
Not only is this bad for your nail health but a damaged nail also doesn't hold product as well, so it will impact how long your next manicure can last.
I can give some suggestions on how to safely remove Gel/BIAB if you're unable to book in for a removal/infill.
